Undergraduate Academic Requirements
- HSC / NCEA Level 3 Equivalent - Minimum pass with competitive marks; Foundation Year available
- Minimum Score - Generally 55–65%+ in HSC; check each institution's requirements
Graduate / Postgraduate Academic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Relevant field; GPA 3.0+; strong academic record required
- Letters of Recommendation - 2–3 academic referees
- Research Proposal - Required for PhD and research Master's programs
- SOP / Personal Statement - Required for most postgraduate programs
- GRE/GMAT - Not typically required; competitive for some research programs
English Proficiency Requirements
- IELTS Academic - Undergraduate: 6.0 (no band below 5.5) | Postgraduate: 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
- TOEFL iBT - Undergraduate: 80+ | Postgraduate: 90+
- PTE Academic - Generally 50+ undergraduate; 58+ postgraduate
- MOI Letter - Possible IELTS waiver if previous education was in English medium
Financial Solvency & Sponsorship Documents
- Bank Statement - NZD 20,000/year living expenses + tuition; sponsor statement acceptable
- Sponsor Letter - If family-sponsored: letter + bank statement + employment proof
- Scholarship Letter - If applicable - NZ government scholarships available
- Property Documents - Supporting docs to show a strong financial background
Visa Application Checklist
- Passport - Valid 3+ months beyond intended stay
- Offer of Place Letter - From New Zealand institution - unconditional or conditional
- Student Visa Application - Online via Immigration New Zealand (INZ) portal
- Visa Application Fee - Approximately NZD 375
- Proof of Funds - Bank statement as above
- Medical Certificate - eMedical health examination - required for stays over 12 months
- Police Clearance - Character certificate from Bangladesh
- IELTS/TOEFL Score Report - Official score report
- Academic Documents - Notarized certificates and transcripts
- Passport-size Photos - As per INZ specifications
Processing time: 20–30 working days. Apply 8–12 weeks before course start date. Post-Study Work Visa (PSWV) available for up to 3 years after graduation.
