Undergraduate Academic Requirements
- HSC / A-Level Equivalent - Year 12 / HSC or equivalent; Foundation course available if needed
- Minimum Score - Generally 60–70%+ in HSC; varies by university and course
- Prerequisite Subjects - Some STEM and health programs require specific subject passes
Graduate / Postgraduate Academic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Relevant field; minimum 60% / GPA 2.5; competitive programs 70%+
- GMAT - Required for MBA - 550–650+ for business schools
- Letters of Recommendation - Usually 2 academic or professional referees
- SOP / Personal Statement - Why this program and future career goals
- Work Experience - 1–2 years for MBA/management programs; often required for IT programs
English Proficiency Requirements
- IELTS Academic - Undergraduate: 6.0 (no band below 5.5) | Postgraduate: 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
- TOEFL iBT - Undergraduate: 79+ | Postgraduate: 87+
- PTE Academic - Undergraduate: 50+ | Postgraduate: 58+
- Note - IELTS is the primary test accepted for the Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500)
Financial Solvency & Sponsorship Documents
- Bank Statement - AUD 21,041/year living costs + tuition; 6-month bank history recommended
- OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) - Mandatory for entire stay - AUD 600–700/year approx.
- Sponsor's Bank Statement - With employment/income proof
- Scholarship Letter - If applicable
- Property/FDR Documents - Supporting documents to strengthen financial credibility
Visa Application Checklist
- Passport - Valid for the entire study period
- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) - Issued by your Australian institution
- Subclass 500 Visa Application - Online via ImmiAccount - AUD 710 fee
- OSHC Policy Certificate - Health insurance from an approved provider
- GTE Statement - Genuine Temporary Entrant - written statement about why Australia, future plans
- IELTS/TOEFL/PTE Score Report - Official score report
- Academic Transcripts and Certificates - Notarized copies
- Medical Examination - At an approved panel physician in Bangladesh
- Biometrics - At Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) Dhaka
- Police Clearance Certificate - From Bangladesh Police
Processing time: 4–8 weeks. Students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during semester. OSHC must be renewed if study period extends.
